History
The International Trade Club, Port of Mobile was conceived as a unique and distinguished private club and is a reflection of the growing business character of Mobile and Southwest Alabama. Established to enhance and promote International trade and travel in 1966, the Club provides its members an exclusive, private meeting place to bring friends, guests, and business associates. The Trade Club embodies the prestige of Mobile's business and professional establishment and always plays a key role in providing the background for business meetings, associations and friendships through its membership.
Strategically located atop the International Trade Center Building on North Water Street in Mobile, Alabama, the Trade Club is a cornerstone of Mobile's urban growth and development. It is a place to benefit from and share in the company and
companionship of today's business and professional leaders. The location makes it the premier private club in the city, with a view of the busy Port of Mobile which brings an elegant and distinguished ambiance and reflects the importance of international trade through the port and the Alabama State Docks.
The International Trade Club provides an environment of privacy and excellence for those who appreciate fine dining - one in which members and their guests will feel at home. The club's elegant rooms are the ideal setting for relaxation, casual conversations and cocktails as well as fine cuisine prepared by our experienced staff.
Through social events, the membership of the Club affords an enriching diversion from the outside world. The Club plans and presents special functions and programs based on the membership's interest and enjoyment. The Club also welcomes celebrations of a personal note such as wedding receptions, anniversaries, birthdays, weddings and after rehearsal gatherings.
Membership in the International Trade Club, Port of Mobile is by invitation at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Classifications of Membership are varied with benefits for those just beginning their business career to those who are retired.
International Trade Club members enjoy the benefits of Club privileges when out of town through pre-arranged reciprocal agreements with other fine private clubs located throughout the United States and abroad. These clubs have been carefully selected to ensure the membership's enjoyment while away from home.
